I have loved animals my whole life but my last dog really stole my heart. I wanted my Doberman, Thor, to be trained well because he was going to be a big, strong boy. That’s when I found Michelle McCarthy and K9 Homeschooling. I started learning how to train Thor through her puppy classes. Thor wasn’t a very good student at first, but with Michelle’s guidance and plethora of information she provided, he became a great running partner and a friend to all.  

My time with Thor inspired  me to learn more about the canine mind and the training process in order to help others teach their dog to become a well mannered member of the family and society. My goal is become a trainer to do just that. 
I have a B.A. in Elementary Education, Special Education and Hearing Impaired  from Eastern Michigan University.  I'm also an ACE Certified Group Fitness Instructor.  I'm excited to use my love of learning and helping people in this new adventure.
