I grew up in Fowlerville, Michigan, after graduating high school I attended Lansing Community College.  Upon completion of my core classes I decided to pursue a career working with animals.  I transferred to Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with a Bachelors of Science with a major in Veterinary Technology.

After graduation in 2015, I worked in Emergency Medicine in Ann Arbor for a face paced Emergency Veterinary Practice, logging long hours and enjoying every minute of helping save the lives of people’s beloved pets.   In 2016 I began working at Lane Animal Hospital in Chelsea Michigan where I continue to work as a Veterinary Technologist.

I became in interested in training and behavior after seeing so many dogs in practice who struggle with a variety of fear based problems, not to mention the dogs and puppies who would benefit from training.  When one of my own dogs started displaying signs of anxiety I worked with a Veterinary Behaviorist and with Michelle McCarthy, a Certified  Behavior Consultant.  Working with my own dog confirmed my desire to learn more and to add training and behavior consulting to my credentials.  I began Interning with K9 Home Schooling and Michelle McCarthy in 2017 and am excited to pursue my dream of helping animals and their humans.  I'll spend the next few years learning, shadowing and assisting while I pursue certifications in training and behavior.

I live in Stockbridge with my Husband, two Australian Shepherds Harper and Bear, two cats and eleven chickens.
