Michelle McCarthy, owner and Director of Training for K9 Home Schooling will be presenting the “Do’s and Don’t’s of Dog Training”. Michelle McCarthy is a nationally recognized Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and Certified Therapy Animal Consultant with the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. Michelle offers group classes and in-home training throughout southeast Michigan. Whether you’re raising a new puppy or an adult dog this is the workshop for you. There will be discussions on obedience training using reward based training methods, management techniques for preventing problem behaviors, proper socialization for puppies and adult dogs, daily exercise routines and much more. If your dog already has a behavior problem such as separation anxiety, aggression, resource guarding, etc., understanding what causes these behaviors is critical to developing a treatment plan. Working with a qualified Dog Behavior Consultant is key to helping your dog overcome their fears and phobias. Some behavior problems are the result of an underlying medical condition. We will discuss when Veterinary intervention is required. **THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR HUMANS ONLY, NO DOGS PLEASE*
Special Instructions:
