This class is offered to K9 Home Schooling students who have successfully completed Dog Training Fundamentals-1.  

DTF-2 class will include a review and continuation of the basic training methods and foundation obedience skills learned in DTF-1. Intermediate level exercises will be introduced during the 4-week course. 

We will work on:
  • "Proofing" behaviors against distractions,
  •  advanced 'Stay' work to include duration distractions and distance, 
  • walking on-leash
  • cueing behaviors from a distance 
  • appropriate dog-to-dog greetings
  • impulse control 
  • attention bilding exercises

You will receive written training materials to support classwork. All K9 Home Schooling Students will have access to our library of online training and behavior modification handouts. You will need a 6 ft. leash, flat buckle collar,  no-pull Harness (no prong, choke, or slip collars). An adult must accompany students under 18 and children under 12 years of age must remain at home.

Dogs attending this class must be comfortable in a group setting, no excessive barking or reactive behavior
