Customer Feedback
Sadie and I are definitely a training success story! A success story in progress, that is. I discovered “clicker training” after my dog Sadie barked at a 3 year old at my vet’s office. My trainer at the time told me to give Sadie the biggest correction I could think of. That felt horrible to me, and I thought there had to be a better way. I have a lot of regret that I started out on the “correction” road, but that was actually recommended to me by my vet, who by the way, is now a very big fan of “clicker training” because of Sadie’s experience. I started researching something like “barking at kids” on the internet and ended up with all sorts of recommendations for clicker training. I had never heard of this before, but I sure did like the “positive” part of it. I also found Michelle on the internet and asked if I could come watch a class. At the class, I was stunned at how quickly she was able to teach two golden retrievers (both high energy) to walk loosely on a leash. They both made significant improvements in about 45 minutes. Plus, I really liked her “style” of teaching. Felt great to me. So, I started my journey with Michelle. It turns out that Sadie is sound phobic. And Michelle has been highly instrumental in Sadie’s journey to wellness. I can’t imagine what I’d do without her. Just a few of the things I like best about Michelle: She’s kind. And this is at the top of my list because I place a high value in that. She’s well read. She is always citing info from top dog behaviorists. So, Michelle isn’t just a person who likes dogs and thought she’d train them; she’s an incredibly well trained trainer. Sadie LOVES Michelle. She is patient. The journey to help any dog that has behavior issues is slow. And frankly, the hardest part of the process is how well we get trained to train our dogs. Michelle is incredibly patient with me as I am on this road to learning how to do what’s best for Sadie. Oh, this is a biggee. She makes this whole process fun! Such an important thing. Again, this is a slow road so it’s awesome that Sadie and I are enjoying the journey! And the proof is in the pudding. Sadie continues to improve. And that’s pretty awesome. I think Michelle is fantastic. Truly fantastic! I feel so lucky to have found her! Robin and Sadie
